The Design Group is an interior design studio based on the beautiful Kwa Zulu Natal North Coast headed up by Kirsten Wuth. Offering a wide range of interior design services, including spatial planning, specification and procurement of all finishes, fittings and furniture and creating custom designs for residential, retail, hospitality and corporate spaces.
Kirsten prides herself in her personal service and her ability to conceptualise and develop a unique design that supports the individual needs of those using the space. Always ensuring that the finished product is completed to the clients’ expectations and within the correct time-frame and budget. She is passionate about connecting with her clients. Attention to detail is key, as is being involved in the architectural design, working alongside architects, construction teams and landscapers to ensure that the overall vision is carried through from inception to completion. The aim with every project is to create a space that is practical, functional and spectacular.
Over the years she has created a database of reliable suppliers and contractors, taking the pressure off you – the client, when trying to find the right person for the job. Her expertise within the design industry allows you to enjoy a stress-free solution to your build or renovation.
Kirsten’s many roles include wife, mother, friend, entrepreneur, designer and creative at heart.
She grew up in KZN and completed a four year degree in Interior Design at the Durban University of Technology, graduating Cum Laude. After working in the industry for a few years, Kirsten took the plunge in 2011 and started The Design Group, in pursuit of a more fulfilling life working for herself – and pursuing her passion for design. Fast forward to today and Kirsten has transformed over 65 properties, working on projects ranging from boutique stores, hotels, student accommodation solutions as well as high-end residential projects.
An A-Type personality, love of organisation, planning and managing every detail makes her the ideal project manager, but this flair for logistics is perfectly paired with a strong creative streak that results in stylish spaces that are perfectly executed.
